Affiliations
PERSEUS defines an affiliation as a tuple of organization and institute which is connected to a project. Usually, the affiliation is connected to the people working on the project, i.e. the principal investigator or the person of contact. There are two main reasons why this can cause problems:
- People can be connected to multiple affiliations, either because they work for more than one organization or because they switched at a point in time. This can cause problems when trying to retrace the affiliation a project is connected to.
- Usually, there is the need to delete personal data at a certain point, while the affiliation has to remain because of reporting reasons.
To ensure that these problems do not occur, PERSEUS saves up to one affiliation within a project. There is currently no support for multiple affiliations.
