Global alerts
Global alerts are banners that the HPC center can broadcast to every user of Andromeda. They appear at the top of every page until the underlying issue is resolved or the announcement period ends. You can dismiss an alert with its close button. Once dismissed it stays hidden for you (the preference is stored in your browser). Andromeda re-checks for active alerts once a minute.
Typical uses include announcing a planned maintenance window, warning about an ongoing incident, or pointing users at an important news item.
The alert’s colour reflects its severity: running, info, warning, or error. Only one global alert is shown at a time; when several are active, Andromeda displays the most important one.
For service-specific status information rather than broad announcements, see the System status page.
